For several weeks (and months) now, my husband and I have been excitedly preparing for our baby's debut into the world. As part of our preparation we have listed everything we need to do prior to his arrival and as of today, we have checked off almost all items on the list.
Nursery done. Clothes washed, folded and stacked neatly in the cabinet. Diapers in storage. Feeding items as breast pump etc. ready. Bassinet ready. Baby name checked. Infant car seat installed. Prenatal classes done. The list goes on and on. And I'm proud to say, we pretty much have everything prepared.
However, when will the little bud make his grand entrance? I honestly have no idea...
I am having cramps, irregular contractions and all those unmentionables that women close to their due date go through. So I feel that it's just around the corner...
We're now on our 38 week and 5 days and practically on the waiting game. Waiting for our baby's birth day.
All I can say to my little one is to just come out whenever he's ready... Mom and Dad will just be here eagerly, lovingly and patiently waiting.

Joy, I'm SO excited for you both!! I can't wait until your baby's born.
Will Leah be taking photos along the way? (I don't mean to post, of course!) I'm just curious. This is going to be a great record for the two of you to look back on, I'm so glad you've been documenting it.
xo
Hi Barry!
I really want to document every single moment as much as we can. I want my sister to take pictures during my delivery. Told her the crucial shot is to take a photo of the babe when he's out with the cord still intact. Some may consider it too much, but I think it'll be one of those moments we'd want to remember forever.
xoxo
Honestly Joy I think a shot of him with the cord attached would be amazing. The entire process captivates me, from pregnancy to birth, feeding (incredibly beautiful in my eyes) to raising the child and teaching him/her about the world.
I love that you're doing this, it'll be a wonderfully private keepsake for you both to share).
BTW I've left you an award on my blog. If you're not able to get to it I'll understand, it sounds like you have your hands full!
xo
Oh God I forgot to tell you Joy...I held a month-old baby girl last night! Aaahhh!!
Now if you know anything about me, babies kinda scare me. I'm hopelessly awkward around them. I don't know what they want when they cry, I can't really interact with them (unless they look me in the eye..then I'm lost forever).
She was SO-O tiny, only 4 pounds 11ounces when she was born and she looked like something from an Anne Geddes photo. I didn't realize I wasn't really holding her properly until I saw the pictures that Sandy took. lol But wow...what a moment.
It makes me even more excited for your baby to come and any pictures you choose to share on your blog.
I'm so excited, too. I know your baby will come soon. I can't wait to see him.Take care :). I can still vividly remember the first time I saw Anaiah, smelled his breath, touched him. Anaiah has been an immense source of happiness. I'm happy that you'll be experiencing all these soon.
Does baby have a name na? :)
Will you be giving birth by CS or normal?
Hi Barry!
Thank you so much for the award... I'll work on it on the coming days.
It must be such an exciting feeling to hold a precious baby in your arms... I love Anne Geddes and I can just imagine how beautiful that babe must have looked. Precious!
I will post photos of our baby as soon as I can... And we'll definitely keep you posted with everything!
xoxo
Hi Sasa!
It must be so wonderful to smell a baby's breath!!! hmmmm....
We have a list of names and we're waiting to see how he looks like and what he's like once he comes out before we decide on the right one. =)
So far, I am delivering normally... Although at 39 weeks, I feel so heavy and this little one doesn't seem to be so little anymore. I still want it to be as natural as possible.
Miss you!
xoxo
I'm guessing the baby just gives you the time to tick off all of the things on that list, so that when he's finally here you can give him all your undivided attention :)
Yes, natural birthing is good for baby's immune system i read.
We can't wait to hear the great news and see baby's first photos. Hugs.
